For biobanks, biorepositories and LN2 based storage collections
The ASKION C-line® hermetic storage (HS200) is an efficient and automated storage system for biobanks, biorepositories and LN2 based storage collections. The automated biobanking solution is available in 3 sizes (HS200 S/M/L). To ensure safe sample storage and best sample quality, the samples are stored at cryogenic temperatures at down to -185 °C. Thanks to the directly connected hood structure, samples can be handled at fully automated cryogenic temperatures down to below -130 °C. The sample is handled by a robot either in the form of individual samples and / or in SBS rack format inside the cryogenic environment. This structure enables an ice-free and contamination-free automated sample handling while maintaining a continuous cold chain. This unique setting, consisting of ultralow-temperature storage, automated cryogenic sample handling and a continuous cold chain, ensures maximum sample quality for decades.
The HS200 is the cryogenic state-of-the-art storage solution for establishing small (a few thousand samples) to very large (million samples) and semi-automated to fully automated biobanks, biorepositories and LN2 based storage collections.
Individual HS200 can be installed and can be connected to each other at any time for automated sample transfer while maintaining a continuous cold chain. Due to the modular structure of the biobank, biorepositories or LN2 based storage collections can grow individually over time, without influencing existing work processes or samples that have already been stored.

The CNC milling machine is used for the production of plastic parts. It is a process innovation that optimizes established products or manufactures them more cost-effectively or in a more resource-efficient manner.
Our company receives funding from the European Union via the FTI-Thüringen Technologie guideline. In this project, a test platform is being developed on which various assemblies, materials and functionalities for biobanks can be tested independently of the device. The purpose of the project is to react flexibly and quickly to changing device requirements using the platform’s testing capabilities.
Through the FTI-Thüringen Personen guideline, our company receives funding from the State of Thuringia from the European Social Fund Plus for innovative employees in the field of fluorescence microscopy (2024 INP 0122). The topics are development, testing and optimization of fluorescence microscopes in different sizes and functions as well as the identification of functional requirements for the devices.
Through the FTI-Thüringen Personen guideline, our company receives funding from the State of Thuringia from the European Social Fund Plus for innovative employees in the field of biobanking (2024 INP 0132). Innovative software solutions for cryo devices are developed. A special focus is on IT security, modularity and flexibility of future device generations.
