In addition to “traditional” sample storage in biobanks, there are other areas of application that also involve sample storage—specifically, the storage of highly sensitive samples in a regulated environment. CAR-T cell therapy is one such area, with its own unique requirements. For CAR-T therapies, in addition to traditional sample tubes, bags (often called blood bags or cryo-bags) are frequently used in cassettes (often referred to as blood cassettes or cryo-cassettes). These sample formats contain human samples that are frozen under controlled conditions, stored securely, transferred, and later administered to patients. This requires that the samples be stored and handled in a contamination-free and traceable manner. The HS200 S/M/L sample storage systems make this possible. Thanks to contamination-free gas-phase storage combined with automated sample handling at -130°C, contamination-free, automated, and mix-up-proof sample storage is ensured. In addition, the aWB offers the ideal solution for automatically freezing samples in a controlled and reproducible manner. Special temperature sensors enable the detection of the sample temperature without contaminating the sample. In combination with the available automated sample transfer systems at -130°C —either a rail system or self-driving robots—a fully automated CAR-T sample processing line can be implemented, right down to a one-click operation.

We receive funding from the State of Thuringia for consulting services and project support. This funding is intended to support strategies for the establishment, sustainable growth, and stability of small and medium-sized enterprises. The funding is provided by the European Social Fund Plus and the State of Thuringia.
Our company receives funding from the European Union via the FTI-Thüringen Technologie guideline. In this project, a test platform is being developed on which various assemblies, materials and functionalities for biobanks can be tested independently of the device. The purpose of the project is to react flexibly and quickly to changing device requirements using the platform’s testing capabilities.
Through the FTI-Thüringen Personen guideline, our company receives funding from the State of Thuringia from the European Social Fund Plus for innovative employees in the field of fluorescence microscopy (2024 INP 0122). The topics are development, testing and optimization of fluorescence microscopes in different sizes and functions as well as the identification of functional requirements for the devices.
Through the FTI-Thüringen Personen guideline, our company receives funding from the State of Thuringia from the European Social Fund Plus for innovative employees in the field of biobanking (2024 INP 0132). Innovative software solutions for cryo devices are developed. A special focus is on IT security, modularity and flexibility of future device generations.
